Billionaire prince promised luxury cars for Saudi pilots fighting in Yemen

One hundred fighter pilots who were involved in Saudi Arabia’s Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen will receive cars Prince Alwaleed bin Talal promised, Daily Mail reports. “To recognize the one hundred participating Saudi pilots I am pleased to present them with 100 Bentley cars,” the prince posted in his micro-blogging site using Arabic.

“I congratulate our wise leaders on the victory of Operation Decisive Storm and the beginning of Operation Restoring Hope,” he added. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is a business tycoon and one of the richest in the world.

However, after getting good and bad reactions worldwide, the said post was deleted. Some Saudi media said the account was hacked.

World Health Organization says 944 people were killed and 3,487 wounded during the Operation Decisive Storm.

The said operation was launched against Houthi rebels in Yemen, but hundreds of civilians also died.
