The terrorist group Islamic State beheads one of the two Japanese hostages, as shown in a video uploaded Saturday. In the video, Kenji Goto Jogo is holding a photo of his fellow Japanese hostage Haruna Yukawa’s dead body.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was speechless. “Fully aware of unbearable pain and sorrow that his family must be feeling, I am simply left speechless,” he said. “Such act of terrorism is outrageous and impermissible, which causes me nothing but strong indignation. Thus I express resolute condemnation.”
Abe said, after meeting his Cabinet, Japan will not stop to cooperate with the international community in fighting terrorists. It can be remembered that Abe pledged non-military assistance worth USD200 million to countries fighting ISIL in the Middle East. The same amount the terror group asked in ransom.
Now, the terrorists have a new demand. They want the release of Sajida al-Rishawi, a female suicide bomber dispatched by al-Qaeda in Iraq to attack a hotel in Jordan in 2005. The female terrorist is being held by Jordan.
