Eric Berry, All- America’s Former Tennessee has made a public statement of suspected lymphoma after undergoing Chief’ Non- Football Injury (NFI) last Monday.
The twenty five (25) year old Kansas’ City Chiefs All- Pro safety revealed that he experienced chest pain on Thursday night after the Football game against Oakland. According to the KMBC report, Berry had gone through MRI scan on Friday. It was reported that Berry’s scan result showed a mass on his right chest. He was examined by doctors and a laboratory test was performed considering a potential diagnosis of lymphoma.
Berry will take a trip to Atlanta in order to confirm his diagnosis, for the moment, Eric Berry will be out for the season.
Furthermore, Eric Berry voiced a statement saying, “I am thankful for all the support from family, friends, coaches, teammates and the entire chief kingdom. At first i was shock with the diagnosis on Saturday and did not even want to miss a game, but i understand that right now i have to concentrate on a new opponent. I have great confidence in the doctors and the plan they are going to put in place for me to win this fight. I believe that i am in God’s hands and i have great peace in that. I know my coaches and teammates will hold things down here the rest of the season and until i am back running out of the tunnel at Arrowhead. I am so thankful and appreciative of being part of this franchise and playing in front of the best fans in the NFL. I will be back!”
