James Garner will be remembered as Maverick, Rockford, The Notebook

James Garner, 86, born as James Scott Bumgarner, multi-awarded leading man who starred in many television series starting in the early 50’s died of natural causes Saturday night at his home in Los Angeles.

Garner starred as Bret Maverick in the comedy series Maverick and Jim Rockford in a detective drama series The Rockford Files. Many of his fans says they will remember him as Bret Maverick, Jim Rockford and The Notebook.

James Garner also starred in more than 50 films. One of his film is The Great Escape where he acted as a soldier in the Korean War.

Garner was awarded with different including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, inducted in the Hall of Fame of different award giving body.

In 2004, Garner starred as the elderly man Duke in the film The Notebook. He was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
