Thirteen dead after a blast in Nigeria while watching FIFA World Cup

On initial reports, thirteen people were killed and 20 are injured after a bomb blasts in a venue where FIFA World Cup 2014 is being publicly viewed at Damaturu in Yobe State, Nigeria.

The incident took place during the football match between Brazil and Mexico. Some claims that the bomb was hidden in a tricycle and exploded shortly after the match started.

Boko Haram is suspected to have done the attack. The group’s name means ‘Western education is sin’. Boko Haram is trying to establish an Islamic state in northeastern of Nigeria.

As of posting time no one is claiming the attack.
