Eat Bulaga’s AlDub wins big in Catholic Social Media Awards

Noon-time variety show Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye, with ALDUB as loveteam, bagged a number of awards in Catholic Social Media Awards (CSMA) for its effort at promoting Filipino Catholic values October 11. Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza won Catholic Social Media Achievement Award for being influential in propagating Christian values to the youth, while Alden Richards won Catholic Social Media Award for being a good youth role model.

Wally ‘Lola Nidora’ Bayola was awarded for being instrumental in spreading good values in media. TAPE Inc. won an Achievement Award for producing ?#?KalyeSerye? and giving importance to promoting Christian family values and virtues.

“Because of the very inspiring message they give during Kalyeserye [about] virtues, values, chivalry, modesty, morality, respect for elders, etc. This is the kind [of show] that we don’t see on TV anymore,” Mon Bandril, a member of the awards committee, said as quoted by CBCP News.

CBCP News said Eat Bulaga hosts and producers are the first recipients of CSMA whose launch today at the Sta. Rosa City Hall Auditorium, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, formally ended the fourth installment of the two-day Catholic Social Media Summit (CSMSv4.0).
