Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight champion Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey and challenger Cat “Alpha” Zingano will fight in UFC 184 main event Saturday night, February 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Rousey, who weighs 135 pounds has a 10-0 record and finished all of her opponents, while Zingano holds 9-0 record and weighs 134.5 pounds.
When Rousey’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan was asked by MMAFighting.com to describe Zingano in one word, he said, “desperate fighter, I would say. One word would be desperate. She’s always looking for that win and she just all of a sudden, she walks in there and throws a flying knee or a kick. Everything she does, she’s desperate for it. When people are losing a little bit and they want to do something to get that win at the end to survive in there and get that victory, I feel like she does that every second. So that makes her a bit dangerous.”
Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington’s square off will also be featured as co-main event.
