“We want the fight. Get ready. Let’s make it happen, May 2. Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao, let’s do it,” said undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather with 47 wins 26 of which through knockouts.
“I am not ducking or dodging any opponent. Bob Arum is stopping the fight,” Mayweather told Showtime Sports Friday night. “We have been trying to make this fight happen behind the scenes for years now but the fans and the people have been fooled because they have been listening to the people on one side.”
However, Mayweather clarified that the fight will only happen if he gets a much bigger pie.
Mayweather also hinted that the possible May 2 fight might be the last match in his boxing career. “The fans would love to see the fight and, of course, I want to go out with a bang, so let’s make this fight happen.”
