Asha Bhat of India bagged Miss Supranational 2014 title

India representative Asha Bhat was named as Miss Supranational 2014 December 6 at Krynica-Zdrój Ice Arena, Southern Poland. Miss India who is the first Indian to receive the title was crowned by outgoing Miss Supranational, Mutya Datul from Philippines.

Aside from her crown, Asha also received twenty-five thousand US dollars and awarded as best in talent during the talent competition. She bested contestants from 70 different countries.

“I am ecstatic. It’s an unbelievable feeling and I couldn’t feel more proud. I am happy to have won this title for my country. I am extremely thankful to the Miss India Organization for giving me this wonderful opportunity to prove myself. Now, I am just waiting to come back to my country and meet my family and friends who supported me throughout my journey,” Asha said.

The other winners are, first runner-up Thailand’s Parapadsorn Disdramrong, second runner-up Gabon’s Maggaly Nguema, third runner-up USA’s Allyn Rose, and fourth runner-up Poland’s Katarzyna Krzeszowska.

For the special awards, Estelita Liana of Indonesia won Best in National Costume and Audrey Loke of Malaysia won Best Smile.

Myanmar’s Han Thi was chosen Miss Internet, Canada’s Gabriela Clesca was Miss Friendship, Miss Elegance was awarded to Zandra Flores, a Filipina who represents United Kingdom, Denmark’s Angela Lakocevic was Miss Photogenic, China’s Gu Wei was Miss Top Model and Sweden’s Ida Ovmar was Miss Bikini.

Yvethe Santiago, this year’s Philippine representative reaches the Top 20.
