Vice Ganda back on Showtime

Comedian-host Vice Ganda who took a temporary leave from ‘It’s Showtime’ returned to the show Saturday, November 15.

Vice cited his health as one of the main reason for temporarily leaving the show. He needs to rest for his full recovery and was advised to limit his physical activities including “getting too excited.”

The comedian emphasized that his leave of absence is not because of any conflict with his co-workers or the management of the show.

The show was opened with Vice Ganda’s production number. The comedian performed Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj’s joint single ‘Bangbang’. Shortly after his Vice said he missed his co-hosts and the madlang people.

His co-host welcomed him back. However, Vice said he will be taking a short leave again on January. The comedian will go through a surgery to remove a polyp on his throat.

Polyp is a non-cancerous lump that forms due to over usage of the vocal cords.

Vice has a 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Praybeyt Benjamin 2’. Stars Julia Barretto, Daniel Padilla, Richard Yap, James “Bimby” Aquino-Yap and Alex Gonzaga are part of the movie.
