After 10 years, TV host Iya Villania returned to GMA network. Iya signed an exclusive contract with the Kapuso network Wednesday. Iya was with GMA network before she moved to ABS-CBN in 2004.
The former ABS-CBN talent started in ‘Click’, a 2003 youth oriented show in GMA. She stayed in the network for one year.
“It’s gonna be a huge change, but I guess change is the only permanent thing in this world,” Iya said in an interview with a news site. “And it’s always nice to make new friends. That’s what I’m looking forward to,” Iya said.
The Myx VJ will join her husband, Drew Arellano, who is a permanent talent of GMA. Drew and Iya married last January. She denied that Drew was the reason why she transferred.
“I wouldn’t say he’s a huge part as to why I’ve decided to come back,” she said. “But of course, he knew all about this. When we were negotiating and when I was coming to terms with coming back here, siya talaga ‘yong kausap ko. For him being the reason why I transferred, no,” according to Iya.
The singer-actress is excited with her future projects in GMA. She will be part of the variety show ‘Sunday All Stars’ and the network is planning to star her in a teleserye.
