Derek Ramsay’s estranged wife files concubinage complaint

On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, Derek Ramsay’s estranged wife Mary Christine Jolly filed a concubinage complaint against the actor and his former girlfriend Angelica Panganiban at the Paranaque Prosecutor’s Office. Derek and Angelica were sweethearts for six years.

Mary Christine mentioned that she has an evidence that Derek and Angelica had lived together for five years in Marina Heights Subdivision, Sucat Parañaque City. She also said that angelica has a knowledge about their marriage before having a relationship with the actor.

The law says that concubinage can be filed against a husband “who shall keep a mistress in the conjugal dwelling, or shall have sexual intercourse, under scandalous circumstances, with a woman who is not his wife, or shall cohabit with her in any other place. The woman must also have a knowledge about the marriage.

The husband may be imprisoned from six months to six years, whereas the mistress may be forbidden from being within 25 kilometers of the husband for an indicated length of time. If found guilty.

Derek already apologized to Angelica and her mother in regards with the said complaint filed by Mary Christine. According to the actor, Angelica accepted his apology.

Angelica’s lawyer Atty. Francis Aguilar said that his client chooses not to comment for now regarding the issue. Angelica will answer back to the matter once she has the copy of the complaint.
