On Saturday, October 4, 2014 the Entertainment Press Society honored the outstanding films and movie performances of the past year. Entertainment Press Society’s 11th Golden Screen Award was held at Teatrino, Greenhills, San Juan. The Enpress awards night was hosted by actor and comedian John Lapus.
Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment’s “On The Job” won Best Visual Effects, Best Original Story for director Erik Matti and gave Joel Torre a Best Actor trophy. The action thriller movie starred Joel Torre, Gerald Anderson, Joey Marquez and Piolo Pascual.
The most number of trophies went to the 2013 independent film “Transit”. The film won a total of nine awards including Best Director for Hannah Espia, Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress for Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Breakthrough Performance of an Actor for Marc Justine Alvarez.
Veteran actress Susan Roces received the Lino Brocka Lifetime Achievement Award as a credit of her exemplary qualities as an actress and as a producer.
