Engaged couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera still have a few important matters to agree on before tying-the-knot this December.
According to Dantes, in a press conference Friday, August 15, the prenuptial agreement is an agenda that is yet to be finalized. High-profile couples commonly enter this agreement to legally distribute their assets should the marriage end up in a divorce or separation.
The 34-year-old Kapuso actor also added during their five-year relationship, money was never an issue between them. However, learning from the mistakes of other people, he’s aware that finances can lead to problems in the marriage if not handled carefully.
Considering Marian is one of the country’s sought-after actresses, the decision to settle down is huge. Nonetheless, this is the right time according to the pair. On what made them decide to finally settle down, Dingdong said that their “spiritual preparedness”, “level of maturity”, age, and most importantly the “willingness to start a family” were major factors.
When asked about their promise of forever, the couple answered that they value the sanctity of marriage, and that once you decide, you have to be “one hundred percent” sure. Marian also said that everything works out through prayer. Adding that no relationship is always smooth-sailing, God should always be the center in a relationship.
The wedding is set to occur on December 30, 2014 at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Quezon City.
