Jobert Austria pulled to safety as he tries to commit suicide

Comedian and “Banana Nite” mainstay cast member, Jobert Austria reportedly attempted to leap off the Sogo Hotel located at Quezon Avenue on Saturday afternoon, around 1pm.

According to dzMM radio report by Ahwel Paz, Austria, popularly known as “Kuya” Jobert, received death threats via multiple text messages which led to his morbid thoughts. But he was later persuaded not to pursue what he was thinking.

The actor is regularly seen on “Banana Nite”, a late night comedy show scheduled every Saturday on ABS-CBN network.

One of his co-hosts Bodjie Mortiz arrived at the scene and stated someone wants to slay Austria.

The actor is now composed and has requested to see the gag show’s director Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz and his family members. Currently, he is now calm inside a room of the said hotel.

Austria has also appeared on “Wansapanataym” in 2010, “Toda Max” in 2011, “Usapang Lalake” and recent sitcom with John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga “Home Sweetie Home”.
