PH Navy’s strategic sealift vessels on design process

Two Landing Platform Dock (LDP) also known as Strategic Sealift Vessels (SSV) ordered from Indonesia’s PT PAL are said to be in the design process.

PT PAL confirmed the receipt of Notice of Award last January this year. Delivery of first unit will be February 2016 and the second one on February 2017.

According the the state-owned builder, they are now coordinating with Philippine government to specifically provide what the PH Navy needs. “Therefore, we are still waiting for a request from the Government of the Philippines design .
