Air Force team saves five civilians from possible death

The Philippine Air Forces has conducted rescue and relief operations in Isabela province in connection with Typhoon Lando. This was in responce to call from Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Isabela.

A rescue team composed of eight Air Force soldiers, from Tactical Operations Group 2, saved the lives of five unnamed males from a raging river along Bgy. Yeban Norte, Benito Soliven, Isabela.

The Air Force said the team “also gave immediate medical assistance to a wounded 30-year old flood victim around 10 am last October 18 in coordination with Barbie Barbosa, Incident Commander of PDRRMC, Isabela.”

“After the said rescue operations, the team also distributed relief goods from Yeban Norte to Sitios Turod and Raked in the same province using their rubber boat. At least 18 sacks of relief goods were delivered to 129 families,” Air Force said.
