Binay spokesman calls Trillanes ‘Senator 1%’

Today, Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV has officially filed his certificate of candidacy for his vice presidential bid in the May 2016 elections. He is seeking to make greater impact in providing direct services to the Filipino people, and as well as in improving the country’s peace and order, which has been a serious concern in the past.

“This is an opportunity to once again present the Magdalo reform agenda to the people and raise our brand of service to the next level. There will be no let up in our fight against corruption,” said Trillanes.

Trillanes is a known anti-corruption advocate who is one of the top critic of presidential candidate Vice-president Jejomar Binay. The senator believes that Binay will drop his presidential bid, even after filing his candidacy for presidency, due to the corruption issues the vice-president is facing.

Meanwhile, Binay spokesman Atty. Rico Quicho said “Senator 1% Trillanes may dream all day, but the Vice President will pursue his candidacy anchored on a pro-poor platform,” as quoted by Inquirer.net.

“Senator Trillanes is entitled to his delusions. He has built a career out of attempting and failing to destroy institutions and reputations. This is his claim to infamy. Now he wants to bully his way to the vice presidency,” Quicho said in previous statement.
