Philippine Army Chief Lieutenant General Eduardo M. Año welcomed his counterpart from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Paduka Aminan at Army Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City today, September 3. Brigadier General Aminan, together with other officials arrived in the country September 2.
According to Army an arrival honors was rendered to the visitors upon their arrival at HPA. Likewise, the Army has also shared its best practices to Royal Brunei Land Forces in a command briefing and open forum held at HPA Conference Room.
“I believe that as we put in place an Army to Army Working Group, our forces can examine our common capabilities as well as concerns, and eventually promote PH-Brunei bilateral defense ties,” said Lieutenant General Año.
“I am certain that the RBLF has much to share with the Philippine Army in terms of capability upgrades, especially after your successful initiatives in enhancing force capabilities and defense policies,” he added.
Brigadier General Aminan on his part said, “I would like to express my commitment in making sure that we continue our close relationship with your Army and hopefully in moving it closer in the years to come.”
