Task Force formed to investigate shooting at Anthony Taberna’s shop

Quezon City Police District Director (QCPD) Chief Supt. Edgardo Gonzales Tinio on Monday released the composite sketch of one of the four gunmen who strafed the newly-opened coffee shop of broadcaster Anthony Taberna along Visayas Avenue, Barangay Vasra, Quezon City last Friday morning.

Based on the facial composite illustration, the male suspect was described to be in his 40s, around 5’6″ in height, sporting semi-bald black hair, black T-shirt round neck, maong pants and slippers, of medium built, and has light brown complex.

The QCPD calls on anybody who could provide information about the incident to call on the police hotline 117 or call the Tactical Operations Center at 473-3106 or 4361173.

Meanwhile, Tinio said a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) was formed that will conduct extensive investigation to the recent strafing of the coffee shop in Quezon City.

Tinio said the ‘SITG Café’ is headed by Police Senior Supt. Danilo Bautista, the QCPD Deputy District Director for Administration (DDDA).

He will be assisted by Masambong Police (PS-2)station commander Supt. Christian Dela Cruz, and members Supt. Rodrigo Bauto Jr., the District Intelligence Division (DID); Chief Insp. Rodel Marcelo, the chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU); Chief Insp. Richard Ang, chief of the CIDU Anti-Carnapping Unit (ANCAR); Chief Insp. Jay Icawat,chief of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); and Police Chief Inspector Jeffrey Bilaro, the QCPD Chief PIO.

The SITG’s hopes to establish the motive of the shooting as well as to identify the suspects, Tinio said.
