US Pacific Fleet commander visits PN headquarters

Admiral Scott Swift, the newly-appointed US Pacific Fleet commander, paid a visit to Philippine Navy (PN) headquarters on Roxas Boulevard, Manila Friday. This was confirmed by PN flag-officer-in-command Vice Admiral Jesus C. Millan in a message to the PNA.

“The visit is the first official visit to the HQS Navy especially now being the newly-appointed commander of the US Pacific Fleet,” he added.

He added that traditional honors was given to Swift during his call.

However, Millan did not give other details on what happened during the visit of the ranking American naval official.

Swift was appointed head of the US Pacific Fleet last May 27, replacing Admiral Harry B. Harris Jr.
