Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge Deputy Director General Leonardo A. Espina made his farewell speech before the national police force and civilian employees during a flag raising ceremony today at Camp Crame. Espina is set to retire on Thursday, July 16.
“This is my last flag raising ceremony in the service,” the PNP OIC said, adding that he cannot let the opportunity pass without expressing his gratitude to the 155,000-strong police force.
“I could not have hurdled it successfully without you prodding me on to go on, without you assisting me in every step of the way,” he said. “I urge all of you to just continue serving our people, because we owe it to them.”
“I will be retiring on Thursday, July 16. I will be handing over the command leadership to the next Chief PNP who will be appointed by the president. Tuloy-tuloy ang ating trabaho at serbisyo bearing the motto always Service, Honor and Justice,” he said.
