What Binay told Aquino in his resignation letter

Vice President President Jejomar Binay submitted his resignation letter to the Office of the President today. He was resigning as President Aquino’s adviser on OFW affairs and chair of Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.

Binay submitted to Aquino a resignation letter with one sentence. Makati City Rep. Abigail Binay hand-carried the resignation letter of her farther addressed to President Aquino.

He wrote: “Dear Mr. President, I hereby tender my irrevocable resignation as member of the Cabinet effective immediately.”

The Vice-President ended with “Respectfully yours, Jejomar C. Binay.”

Also today, the President Aquino accepted Binay’s resignation as Cabinet member.

“Secretary Ochoa gave the letter to the President, following which the President called up Vice President Binay to confirm his resignation,” Secretary Coloma said.
