China tells Philippines – as small country – stop instigation, provocation

The Chinese government is giving a gentle reminder to the Philippines after feeling that ‘some people from the Philippines’ are restless and showing rashness on issues of the South China Sea.

“China will not bully small countries, meanwhile, small countries shall not make trouble willfully and endlessly,” China’s Foreign Ministry said during May 26 press briefing.

The communist country reiterates that Philippines should go back to bilateral negotiations and stop provocation. “We hope that the Philippine side would stop instigation and provocation and come back to the right track of resolving issues through negotiation and consultation.”

Statement from China came after President Aquino said that Philippines will continue to fly aircraft in international airspace and exclusive economic zone in West Philippine Sea. “We will still exercise our rights – the bottom line is we will defend our rights to the best of our abilities.”
