PAF allocates P10 million for Friendship plane repair and maintenance

The Philippine Air Force is applying the amount of Php10,565,915 for the repair and maintenance of one of its Fokker F-27 Friendship transport aircraft. Bids submission and opening is scheduled on June 4 at PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

A pre-bid conference is set on May 21.

Interested bidders should have an experience in similar projects within the last five years.

The PAF is believed to be operating three Fokker Friendship planes used mainly for transport and maritime patrol missions.

It can be remembered that Last May 11, an aircraft of the same class, on a training mission, was damaged after a landing incident at Legazpi Airport, Albay.

The incident was caused by nose landing gear failure.
