Abu Sayyaf beheads a 20-year old man in Basilan

Abu Sayyaf terrorist group has beheaded a twenty-year old telco employee in Mohammad Ajul town in Basilan, Inquirer.net reports. “We thought the person was just abducted,” 104th Army Brigade and Joint Task Group-Basilan commander Colonel Rolando Bautista said.

“We later learned that he was already beheaded,” the military official added.

Jackri Targi, a cellular tower inspector, was abducted May 1 while on his way to a cellular tower, provincial police director Senior Supt. Mario Buyucan said.

Colonel Bautista told Inquirer they learned about the beheading of Jackri Targi late Sunday afternoon.

Targi’s body with his decapitated head on his chest was found in the village of Taguime.
