The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation confirms that Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Abdhir also know as Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan was killed during the January 25 operation of Special Action Force in Mamasapano. In FBI’s list of most wanted terrorist, Marwan is now categorized as deceased.
US Rewards For Justice Program, through United States Department of State, offered a reward of up to USD5 million for information leading directly to the capture of Zulkifli Abdhir. He is an engineer trained in the United States.
“Abdhir was indicted on August 1, 2007, in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, and charged with providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, contributing goods and services to a specially designated global terrorist, and making false statements,” FBI says describing Marwan.
In February, Assistant Director in Charge David Bowdich of the FBI Los Angeles field office said “preliminary results indicate that the DNA profiles obtained from the biological sample indicate a possible relationship with a known relative of Zulkifli Abdhir aka Marwan… Further testing and analysis will be conducted by laboratory examiners in an effort to fully identify the subject of DNA provided to the FBI.”
