NPA member withdraws armed struggle

One member of New People’s Army voluntarily surrendered to the government on March 15, 2015 at Brgy Cawayan 1, San Francisco, Quezon. Ka Ronnie surrendered in the height of sincere implementation of Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP), AFP Guns for Peace, and 74th Infantry Battallion Balik Pamayanan Program, the Philippine Army Public Affairs Office reports.

“Ka Ronnie who is an NPA member of SPN Unknown, GU2 SQ-BP also surrendered one (1) Cal. 45, one (1) Cal. 38 revolver and two (2) magazines with 12 rounds of live ammunition for cal. 45,” Philippine Army said.

He is now under the protection of 74IB. Benefits and financial assistance for him to start a new and peaceful life will be facilitated. He is now one of the previous rebels who withdrew their armed struggle to live a peaceful life with their family.
