Bong Revilla allowed to visit Jolo

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., currently detained for plunder for his alleged participation in the pork barrel scam, was allowed by the Sandiganbayan First Division to visit his son Jolo Revilla. Revilla was allowed to leave Philippine National Custodial Center at 2 p.m. and return 8 p.m. today.

“Revilla – as any father would feel – bears that it is his obligation to visit his son to ensure that he is already safe and in a stable medical condition and to spend a few minutes with him to provide support and assurance in this life-threatening situation,” says in the motion filed by Revilla’s camp.

On Saturday, February 28, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla was rushed to Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City for accidentally shooting himself.

“Jolo Revilla suffered a single gunshot wound on his right chest after he accidentally fired a .40 Glock handgun while cleaning the same,” says in an official statement released by the family.
