24 Abu Sayyafs killed, two camps seized this week

Armed Forces of the Philippines reports 24 killed and 24 wounded bandits from Abu Sayyaf spreading terror in Sulu. Amid the rise in reported casualties from the terror group, the military continues its aggressive campaign now lasting for one week.

“Reports from our sources in the villages in Patikul indicate that the Abu Sayyaf Group is on the run and they are running out of ammo, even as the elite Scout Rangers are relentlessly tracking them down,” AFP Public Affairs chief Lt. Col. Harold Cabunoc said.

Moreover, two camps of Abu Sayyaf were seized in Patikul, Sulu. First camp can accommodate 200 bandits with make-shift comfort rooms, and a water point – while the second camp can house 50 individuals.
