PNP official responsible for controversial gas allocation coupons relieved

A police official serving the Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service in Camp Crame was relieved for allegedly misusing gas allocation coupons. “When we checked the picture, we traced it to IAS in Camp Crame. It is already being investigated under the instructions of IAS Chief Police Director Alexander Roldan,” PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr. said.

The investigation was initiated after couple of gas allocation coupons were photographed by an individual and was uploaded to a social networking site. The photo was caption ‘Gas supply when in PH.. Thanks Pa’.

Cerbo did not name the police official. He said that gas coupons are only for official vehicles of PNP.

The PNP spokesman explained that all units of PNP have gas allocations and the supply officers are responsible for management and distribution to members for official business.
