“If you look at the ceasefire agreement of the government and the MILF, what it says there, any breach of discipline on the side of the government, the government will discipline their forces,” Moro Islamic Liberation Front chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal in an interview with GMA News TV’s State of the Nation hosted by Jessica Soho.
“In the same way that if there is a breach of discipline on the part of the MILF, the MILF will take charge,” Iqbal said.
The MILF official added that it would be hard for them to turnover their forces. “It is very difficult on our part na itu-turnover namin ang pwersa namin. Mawawalan kami ng saysay.”
In a separate interview, MILF vice chairman for political affairs Ghazali Jaafar insists their fighters acted on self defense without platoon and company commander. “Individual ang paglaban ng mga combatant na yun sapagkat in self-defense ang immediate na pumasok sa kanilang isip,” Jaafar told ABS-CBN News Channel.
