Wounded SAF troopers want to hunt for Usman back in Mindanao

“As of now, the injured soldiers are expressing their desire to go back to their units to participate in the operation to capture Usman,” Philippine National Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. said as quoted by Interaksyon.com.

However, fifteen wounded Special Action Force troopers are still undergoing medical treatments at PNP General Hospital at Camp Crame. Fourteen of the wounded troopers came from 84th Special Action Company also called as the Seaborne who operated as the main striking force.

According to C/Supt. Cerbo the final decision to discharge SAF troopers from the hospital will be coming from PNP OIC Espina and DILG Secretary Mar Roxas.

Reports say that Basit Usman was heavily injured during the January 25 encounter and is still in the area of Maguindanao.
