Families of killed Moro fighters also seek for truth, justice

Families and relatives of Moro Islamic Liberation Front fighters who died in the Mamasapano clash are also seeking for truth and justice. Reports from ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol and GMA’s 24 Oras show families of Moro fighters expressing their sadness.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front earlier released their list of killed and wounded fighters. They have eighteen killed fighters and fourteen injured.

“Bangsamoro have also suffered a lot as a result of several massacres. The encounter in Mamasapano wasn’t intended by either side – from side of government and MILF. It was a pure and simple misencounter,” MILF chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal.

SAF troopers were on a mission to arrest Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan and Basit Usman in Mamasapano, Maguindanao. Amid loss of forty-four elite commandos, the government said it was a mission accomplished.
