“Police Director General Alan La Madrid Purisima will definitely attend the Senate hearing, where he will testify on what he knows about the Mamasapano operation,” this is the statement of suspended PNP chief’s cousin and legal counsel Kristoffer James Purisima. The lawyer added that Purisima is in the country contrary to earlier reports that the suspended police official is abroad.
“PDG Purisima did not leave the country, contrary to media reports. In fact, he has never left the Philippines since returning on Dec. 5 from his official trip to Saudi Arabia,” his lawyer said.
The supposedly February 4 Senate inquiry on the Mamasapano Special Action Force operation was rescheduled on February 9 and 10 as per request of PNP OIC Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina.
This is to give time for PNP officials needed in the said senate inquiry to personally visit families of 44 SAF troopers and to attend wake and burials of fallen heroes.
