U.S. engineered and manufactured Humvee Ambulances to boost PHL Army’s health services capabilities

Twenty-three High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) Ambulances, most commonly known as Humvee, were successfully turned over to Armed Force of the Philippines on January 26, 2015. These vehicles will be used by Philippine Army as part of its Forward Health Service Support System Requirement.

“This procurement of U.S. engineered and manufactured Humvee Ambulances is a milestone toward enhancing the Philippine Army’s frontline health services capabilities,” U.S. Embassy in Manila said in a release.

Additional seven will be delivered towards the end of February to complete the thirty ordered Humvee ambulances worth PhP837.8 million. This deal was done under Philippine Defense Reform Program through Foreign Military Sales transaction.
