Binay allegedly used kickback from Boy Scouts of the Philippines for political ambition

Boy Scouts of the Philippines was cooked on its own oil, this is what former Makati City Vice-mayor Ernesto Mercado told the Senate Blue Ribbon Sub-committee today. Mercado accused Vice President Jejomar Binay of getting nearly PhP200-thousand kickback from the BSP-Alphaland deal for the development of BSP property in Malugay Street corner Ayala, Makati City.

He added that the deal puts Boy Scouts of the Philippines in a disadvantage – BSP will be getting 15 percent in the said deal while the developer gets 80 percent and Binay will get 5 percent.

Mercado said the Vice-president already got PhP188,973,460 while BSP still got nothing. Mercado, a former political ally said one of the main reason for Binay’s corruption is his political ambition.

Binay is the National President of Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
