Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao has been saying that he and his promoter, Top Rank Promotions, have agreed to the terms and conditions – which includes profit sharing, date and place – of Floyd Mayweather for the much awaited Pacquiao-Mayweather bout. However, Mayweather said Pacquiao do not have the authority to agree on anything because he is under a boss.
“Pacquiao said that he agreed to everything. What did you agree to? You have no say so. You have a boss. You don’t have no say so,” Mayweather told Shade 45 Radio in an interview. “You have a boss, that’s called Top Rank Promotions. It’s not called Pacquiao Promotions. With my company, it’s called Mayweather Promotions.”
Mayweather said he wants the fight on May 2, however, he claims it is hard to deal with Top Rank. “It’s not Pacquiao, it’s his promoter. A lot of times, when Pacquiao says, ‘I agreed’ – you don’t have nothing to do with this; you’re not a boss. On a chess board, you’re a pawn.”
