PHL New Year fireworks display caught international attention

Manila’s New Year fireworks display gained attention from international news media outlets, in a positive way. News outlets are saying that Philippines has a unique aerial view of spectacular fireworks.

“This scene is relatively unique to the Philippines,” Mic.com writes in an article.

“Revelers around the city had quite the light show to bid 2014 a proper adieu,” Travelpulse.com says.

“Did your city hold a fireworks display on New Year’s Eve? Probably. Was it as good as Manila’s? Probably not,” Newsweek.com writes.

“Colorful explosions blasted in every corner of the Philippines’ capital city as revelers set off fireworks to celebrate 2015,” Mashable.com describes.

However, this spectacular aerial scene has its cost. Department of Health reported that at least 730 fireworks related injuries were recorded as of January 3, 2015.
