Vice President Jejomar Binay’s approval and trust rating greatly suffered according to the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia.
Binay’s November approval rating is 45 percent – 21 percent lower compared to September data, while 23 percent of surveyed Filipinos disapprove and undecided at 32 percent.
Meanwhile, 26 percent of surveyed Filipinos have no or small trust on Binay, 44 percent have trust and 30 percent are undecided. In September, Binay’s trust rating is 64 percent
According to Pulse Asia, Senate’s continued investigation into allegations of corruption against Vice-President Binay, his decision not to pursue with the debate with Senator Trillanes, and avoidance of the Senate investigation greatly affected the said survey.
Amid the biggest drop in trust and approval ratings, Binay is not distracted in continuing his job. “He is thankful for the continued trust and support of the people despite the campaign of lies being waged by his political detractors in the Senate and media,” Binay’s spokesman Joey Salgado said.
