“They will do clearing of roads, carpentry, if they need to repair the wet markets as well what the tasked them of the mayor of Sulat,” Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino told reporters December 10.
The MMDA Chairman said the agency adopted Sulat, Eastern Samar for fast recovery and rehabilitation after typhoon Ruby affected the said town. This is part of Adopt an LGU program of Metro Manila Council.
The team of 26 personnel from MMDA Rescue battalion bring with them tools which includes hook lift, bolt cutters, generators, a water treatment machine, chainsaws, motorcycle and bikes. They will also bring 500 packs of relief goods.
