A Philippine Navy gunboat is now helping government forces in a current combat operations against New People’s Army in Mindoro. “We want to constrict them,” said Major General Ricardo R. Visaya, Southern Luzon Command Chief.

NPAs currently in hot pursuit were involved in a recent incident where Paluan Municipal Police Station in Occidental Mindoro was stormed.

“We will make use of our available assets,” the officer said. He added that attack and utility helicopter are ready for deployment anytime.
