Aquino bound to China for APEC

President Benigno Aquino III is bound for China next month to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ summit. Department of Foreign Affairs said PNoy is “looking forward to visit Beijing in November for the APEC summit.”

Aquino accepted the invitation after China formally sent an invitation. Chinese Ambassador to Philippines assured that President Aquino will be warmly welcomed. Some are expecting a personal meeting between Presidents of PHL and China.

Philippines will be taking over the APEC chairmanship next year.

In Myanmar, Aquino will be meeting leaders from ASEAN countries and its partners including Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States.
