Former Armed Forces Chief General Hermogenes Esperon belies Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s warning on destabilization plot against the current national government. “I don’t think it’s time to talk about impending coup, much more to point to some people.”
Esperon added that it might be a propaganda to put out of the news the current issues on DAP. “Unless na meron silang gustong burahin na news or gusto nilang sapawan yung ibang news tulad ng DAP,” the former AFP chief told GMA News.
The former AFP general then gave Senator Trillanes and advice, “Ano kaya, suggestion ko, ipaliwanag nalang niya (Senator Trillanes) kung saan niya ginamit yung nakuha niya sa DAP. Baka maniwala pa ako sa kaniya. He’s like a boy who cried wolf. Tapos bukas papatayin niya yung wolf.”
Hermogenes Esperon noted that retired military officers are meeting but not talking about destabilization. “Lagi nga kami nagkikita-kita eh, from class 70 to 79, even classes beyond that, bakit naman hindi. Pero coup? Uy, ang coup kapag pinaguusapan yan, dapat discreet ka naman ng konti.”
Senator Trillanes clarified today that he did not said retired generals who are planning against the current national government is connected to Former President Arroyo.
