In the recent survey of Pulse Asia done June 24 to July 2, Vice President Jejomar Binay has topped the the list of top contenders for the 2016 presidential election with 41%.
Binay already confirmed his candidacy.
On the other hand, Senator Grace Poe, who came second with 12%, says she is not ready to vie for the 2016 presidential election.
“I know I have a lot to learn and to prove to be worthy to run for higher office,” the female senator said.
“Nagpapasahan kami kasi walang gustong maging iyon, dahil pag ikaw iyon, mas marami kang magiging problema. Ang dami ko pang kailangang patunayan eh. Isa pa lang ang napapasa kong bill,” Senator Poe recently commented on the issue that the Philippines should once again have a female president.
Ranked at third place is Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada (12%), fourth are Chiz Escudero, Secretary Mar Roxas and Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago (with 7%).
They were followed by Senators Bongbong Marcos and Alan Peter Cayetano both with 5%.
