US based Rice Aircraft Services and Canadian Eagle Copters have delivered 4 out of 21 Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopters to the Philippine Air Force.
Currently, these four helicopters are in Clark for assembly. According to Department of National Defense these four Bell UH-1 Iroquois or Huey helicopters will be displayed on the celebration of Philippine Air Force’s 67th anniversary on July 1.
These Huey helicopters are delivered unarmed and will be mainly used for transport of troops, search and rescue, and delivery of goods during relief operations.
Additional 17 helicopters are expected to be delivered before the year ends to complete 21 ordered Hueys.
