Australian submarine took an emergency surface in PH waters

A sumbarine of Australian Navy took an emergency surface in the seas of Samar province three nautical miles from Marabut town. The Aussie sub requested medical attention for one of its crew while it is in the international waters last Sunday June 8.

Lt. Cdr. Gregory Gerald Fabic, public affairs chief of Philippine Navy said a Philippine Navy ship came to rescue the Australian navy crew. The crew who is sufferring from appendicitis was brought to Tacloban Doctor’s Hospital for quick medical response.


The Department of Natiinal Defense said military interoperability is important in the region. According to DND, PH is always ready to extend necessary help to anyone who needs it.
